It's every bit as family-friendly as MountainSide, with a heated indoor-outdoor pool, four whirlpool spas, a fitness center, and an arts-and-recreation program for kids. The catch is the morning commute: you reach the slopes via the slow fixed-chair Town Lift — a factor in the morning, or at the end of the day if you're skiing with beginners or would rather not tackle the blue runs back into town. If you'd rather ski the Canyons side of Park City Mountain, two more resorts are worth a look. Both offer easy ski access and resort-scale amenities, but both sit farther from Old Town.
Sunrise Lodge by Hilton Grand Vacations is the modern, polished option in Canyons Village, with easy access to the Canyons lifts, a heated pool and whirlpools, a 24-hour fitness center, and HGV's newer-build interiors. The trade-off is location: it's the most isolated from Old Town, so plan on driving in for dinner. It isn't tied to a major hotel-loyalty program, so no status credit either. A loyalty edge unique to the Marriott resorts
