What Does It Cost to Rent a Timeshare in Orlando?

The short answer: In the Orlando area, what you pay depends far more on which brand you rent than on which month you travel. For the same two-bedroom villa, median nightly rates run from about $148 at Club Wyndham to $352 at Marriott and $412 at Hilton Grand Vacations — while a Disney Vacation Club studio, a much smaller unit, runs about $539. Disney costs more because you are buying on-property park benefits, not just a room. Everyone else is buying space.
What we looked at:
We pulled every live rental listing across the Orlando area — 575 listings at 53 resorts spanning Orlando, Kissimmee, Lake Buena Vista, Haines City, Clermont and Davenport. Because resort pages list each unit size separately, we recorded studios, one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom villas as separate data points, so the comparisons below are like-for-like rather than mixing a studio against a three-bedroom.
One note on geography: searching "Orlando" alone misses more than half the market. Kissimmee holds the big Westgate and Orange Lake properties, and Lake Buena Vista is where the Disney Vacation Club resorts sit. Locals treat these as one metro, and so should you.
A two-bedroom villa, brand by brand
This is the fairest comparison we can make: same unit size, same metro, live prices.

Excluding the thin Disney sample, that is a 2.4x spread between the most and least expensive two-bedroom in the same city.
The number that surprises people
A Disney Vacation Club studio costs more per night than a two-bedroom villa at every other brand in Orlando. The median DVC studio on our platform is $539 (based on 157 live listings). Compare that with two-bedrooms at $412, $352, $252, $231, $221, $218 and $148.
A studio is one room with a kitchenette and a sofa bed. A two-bedroom villa typically has separate bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. On paper it is not a close contest.
So why do families still book the studio?
Because a Disney Vacation Club villa is a Disney Resort hotel, and staying on-property comes with benefits that off-property resorts cannot offer at any price:
- Extended Evening Theme Park Hours — select parks stay open late for guests of Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts, with noticeably shorter queues. Confirmed by Disney to continue through 2027.
- Complimentary Disney transport — buses, boats, the monorail and the Skyliner, so many families skip the rental car entirely.
- Free standard parking at the theme parks, water parks and Disney Springs.
- Dining reservations for your whole stay at the 60-day mark, instead of chasing availability day by day.
- An official Disney reservation in your name, which links to My Disney Experience like any other Disney booking.
Early Theme Park Entry (30 minutes before opening) and the 7-day Lightning Lane purchase window are listed by Disney as benefits for Disney Resort hotel guests generally.
What a renter does not get is anything requiring a DVC membership ID: member discounts, member lounges and member-only events.
Which should you rent?
- Park-focused trip, short stay, park time is everything: a Disney Vacation Club villa. You are paying for early and late park access, and for never getting in a car.
- Family that needs space and a real kitchen: Westgate, Orange Lake or an independent in Kissimmee. Two-bedrooms in the low $200s, minutes from the parks.
- Best balance of brand quality and price: Sheraton (Vistana) at about $252 for a two-bedroom — and a rented stay still earns Bonvoy Elite Night Credits.
Chasing Bonvoy status: Marriott at about $352 for a two-bedroom — more than the Kissimmee options, but the stay quietly banks Elite Night Credits. - Lowest cost per bedroom in the metro: Club Wyndham, around $148 for a two-bedroom.
- Longer stay, cooking most meals: almost any off-property two-bedroom beats a Disney studio on both space and price.
How to read these numbers
These are medians of live listings at a single point in time, not historical averages. Sample sizes are shown so you can judge them yourself: the Disney two-bedroom figure rests on only eight listings and should be treated as indicative, while the studio figure rests on 157. Stay lengths vary between one and eleven nights, and prices move with demand — holiday weeks are both scarcer and dearer, because owners hold those weeks back.
