This hotel, if it were well managed, could be a gem, given the environment and the beach. We arrived (my children and grandchildren: 10 persons) at the hotel around 12:30, we didn't have our room (3 villas) until 3:30 p.m. and one of my daughters didn't have hers until 4:30 p.m. We asked to be able to eat at the buffet (and of cause paying for it) because the children were hungry, we were told that it was not possible, because we were not on full board. There is no other restaurant at our disposal as the others located in the complex are adults only. Thinking then of going to eat in town, we wanted to order a taxi. Amazement: hotel told us that it orders taxis and wanted to charge us 140 US$ for a round trip to and from Samara The villas: The positive: large rooms well located. In two of the villas, during the heavy rains, the roof leaked. We had to mop up and one daughter had to put a pan under the leak to avoid wetting the whole floor. In our villa we have visits from mice or rats every day (in front of the house there is a trap with poison) and we find droppings, it smells very bad, like cat pee The kitchen faucet was leaking drop by drop... (Fixed in the meantime at my request). Impossible to slide the curtains. Difficulty turning on the bathroom faucet The housekeeper came by, she confirmed to us that the villas were very poorly maintained. In one of the three villas, the hairdryer is broken and does not work. The buffet: At breakfast, for example one morning at 8:00, the kitchen had no more eggs. The fruit containers were desperately empty or missing, there was some rice left, burnt, and we had to wait almost 10 minutes before refilling. The cooks are sorry and told us that the management did not provide them with the ingredients. One day they had no more fruit a 8:30. It was like that almost every day. The meal on the 31st December was anything but festive. We had to check the reservation 3 times. When we arrived, our table was already occupied. The meal was more than ordinary and poorly served. There was no wine list. The positive point of the evening was the music and the fireworks. Management: On 4 occasions the desk wanted to move us and on 4 occasions it realized that it was in the wrong villa... The management for catering and hotel services seems non-existent and there is no quality control. In summary: This hotel is all but guest friendly and all the management should be replaced. It is a shame because the place is beautiful.
