Travelers seeking a restorative desert retreat favor The Westin Mission Hills Resort Villas in Rancho Mirage for its blend of hotel luxury and residential comfort. The atmosphere is notably tranquil and spacious with lush landscaping that invites leisurely strolls away from the crowds. Staff responsiveness is a frequent highlight as the team is quick to ensure a seamless stay. A favorite insider perk is the private grill on every balcony which allows you to enjoy an intimate alfresco meal while soaking in the warm Coachella Valley air.
We love this property. Although it’s been there forever, the Marriott has done a nice job keeping it nice. The main pool was very clean. (The only criticism is the pool side cabana cushions were torn and looked horrible). Weekend is crazy busy with “tons of kids” so beware. The main walkway (golf cart way) can get busy. And be aware that you CANNOT access the Westin hotel side from the villas (there’s an unsightly fence blocking/separating the properties: but based on our walk to that side, don’t bother). The Villas are so much nicer. The “quiet” pool is inviting. There is a pool slide at the main pool; it’s nice but be aware it’s only open for 2 hours (1-3). The luxury cabanas are very nice but you’ll have to pay.
