Guests adore Marriott's Newport Coast Villas in the Newport Coast neighborhood of Newport Beach for its sprawling residential atmosphere that balances luxury with autonomy. The service is friendly yet unobtrusive, so be prepared to manage your own luggage, but the result is a deeply relaxing and homelike vibe. While the main Catalina pool draws crowds, savvy visitors know to request buildings 3800 or 3900 for the best privacy and sweeping Pacific sunsets from their balconies.
I visited towards the end of May and had a wonderful time. I stayed in building 4600 and had a wonderful view of the golf course and ocean. The market had wonderful options. One of my favorites was the breakfast, ham and cheese croissant. They also had coffees and other grocery items. One day I took the complimentary shuttle to Crystal cove and loved it on the beach and they had a restaurant there although I wasn't able to go this time. The main pool was great, although I spent the majority of my time at the upper pool closer to my unit. I did go grocery shopping for the week so two nights we use the grills they provided and made steaks. All in all 10 out of 10 and I would definitely come back again.
