Stayed in Melfort Village (farm cottage 2) recently after a recommendation from friends. I was looking for something tranquil and authentic and this is exactly what I got. Such beautiful driving roads to get there from Oban and the cottage was very tastefully decorated with a definite touch of luxury. Very comfortable indeed. I spent the evening in the on site bar (the gunpowder cafe) where a number of locals were singing and playing old Scottish songs. It most definitely added to my experience as did some very playful, happy lambs I encountered on my walk there. Beautiful grounds and a number of facilities such as swimming pool, games lounge and tennis courts that I never had time to use but I will most definitely return.
