Guests choosing the Hyatt Residence Club Carmel, Highlands Inn in the Carmel Highlands neighborhood of Carmel are not there for modern glitz but for a deeply rustic and romantic escape. While reviews frequently note the furniture can feel dated, the staff responsiveness, particularly when delivering fresh logs for your private wood burning fireplace, adds a cozy layer of hospitality that modern luxury often lacks. The real showstopper is the breathtaking cliffside view of the Pacific which makes every sunset feel personal and renders any minor room imperfections irrelevant.
I stayed in the Hyatt vacation club. I booked two Horizon view suites but one’s view is much better than the other. Both room are quite spacious with a full kitchen. The restaurant in the resort has an ocean view too and we enjoyed the sunset in the lounge too. As a vacation club, basically don’t expect any service here.
