Our experience with Grand Lake Resort started out with excitement but ended in ongoing frustration due to misleading timeshare practices. My wife and I were drawn in by a radio ad promising an affordable Florida getaway. The vacation itself was initially fun, but it quickly turned into a lengthy sales pitch for a timeshare. The staff was friendly and persistent, encouraging us to make what seemed like a good, long-term investment. We were assured it would benefit our future family, and the sales manager was persuasive, even hinting at job opportunities for us. What we weren’t prepared for were the long-term financial obligations. The maintenance fees kept coming, even as our lives changed and the timeshare became unnecessary. We tried to reach out for help and options, but found ourselves with little support and mounting debt. For three years, we paid for something we didn’t need and couldn’t use, only to face debt collection notices when we tried to walk away. Looking back, this so-called “investment” has only caused stress and regret. We feel misled and stuck with something we no longer want, while being pressured to pay ongoing fees. Grand Lake Resort, I am asking for two things: To be released from this burdensome timeshare agreement A refund for the money spent on a product that was misrepresented I hope this review cautions others to think twice before signing any timeshare agreements here.
