To say we are disappointed is an understatement. Some or most of the units have a great view either on Columbia lake or a creek. We happened to be assigned to building C unit 1. The units are old & terribly outdated. We immediately removed the comforter as it was disgusting to even look at it. As far as the view is concerned, It overlooks dead trees & dirt, to the front, there are two humongous trash bins. I can honestly say it is probably the worst unit on the premises. When I ask to be moved there was a definite no, not even an attempt to try to put as elsewhere. The two people at the front desk are unbelievably unhelpful and have no customer service skills. I have never encountered such lack of customer service & lack of customer service. Is as though “you get what you get, tough, if you are not pleased” what’s amazing is that they act so righteous & as though this is the best property in the world! Such arrogance. I traded a beautiful unit in palm desert California for this awful unit that is so over dated. The surrounding area of the resort is very pretty, but our unit location and lack of comfort has made our stay very unpleasant. I loved Banffs & lake Louis, choosing this resort, was probably the worst experience during our visit to Canada. What is more disturbing is that these people who run the place, could care less how you feel or rate this place. They tear you as if you don’t like it, TOUGH!!!! Giving these people & resort a one star was overly generous, they need some people with customer service skills and a complete renovation of this extremely outdated unpleasant place. It’s unfortunate because the location of the resort is very nice.
