Woodford Bridge is a pleasant place to stay for a visit to Devon and the West of England. The hotel rooms are nicely appointed for self-catering. This is important, as the on-site restaurant is closed. The hotel is modernizing rooms, but the construction was not an issue during our stay. The leisure center hours were shorter than expected (perhaps due to staffing) but the staff was pleasant and helpful and the on-site spa offers a range of treatments at reasonable prices. There is a small shop for food items and essentials and a food truck is on site on some nights. A car is a must here to explore the area. The countryside is picturesque, and the narrow winding roads encourage you to take it all in at a leisurely pace. We would consider staying again in the future, especially if the restaurant reopens.
