Travelers flock to The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas in Lahaina for a high energy family escape that balances resort luxury with condo practicality. Situated on the quieter North Kaanapali Beach, the property feels expansive and lush, though often bustling with activity. Staff bring a genuine Aloha spirit, effectively managing the large crowds even if requests sometimes take a moment. A favorite insider ritual involves skipping the crowded restaurants to fire up the communal gas grills, allowing you to cook a private sunset dinner while soaking in the ocean breeze.
I’ve stayed at this property twice for a timeshare presentation. Here is my advice for people considering staying here. The beach is an amazing snorkel beach and super close to the hotel. But that means it is covered in rocks and coral and you absolutely need to wear water shoes if you go in past your knees. Every time we’ve stayed here we’ve seen someone cut their feet that wasn’t prepared. The beach chair rental was $15 a day but they were $30 to purchase at Costco near the airport. But overall the rooms are nice and met our expectations. You can also use the pools at the neighboring Westins and they have a shuttle that goes between the hotel and Whalers Village.
