The location was perfect - right across the road from Lake Windermere (we could even see the lake from our window) and around a 10 minute walk to the town centre in Ambleside with easy access to all major walks and beauty spots / tourist attractions. The location is perfect for the busy summer holiday period as it can be extremely crowded with lots of traffic inside town and this location is in very quiet area on the outskirts of Ambleside. The self catering apartment was fantastic! The owner was really thought about every single detail down to having a tin opener! We were so impressed with the fully equipped kitchen with all cooking essentials and even a dishwasher. The bathroom was spotless and felt like we were in a luxury hotel. There were fresh and clean bed sheets and towels to use. The whole apartment was immaculate and very cosy. There were heaters in each room which really heated up the apartment perfectly for those cold winter nights. We had a TV in each room with sky TV in the lounge. The owner himself was so helpful if we needed anything and was really friendly and easy to communicate with. We would highly recommend staying here for anyone travelling to the Lake District - it was absolutely perfect!
