My visit was in June, so obviously there was no skiing. My work was having their yearly conference here, and it's an interesting place. I grew up in the Adirondack mountains, and the theme of this place is like a classic Adirondack lodge on steroids. But it's all pretty nice, even if it's a bit overdone. That said, it's a cashless place, so make sure that you have your card on you in case you want to buy anything. Along that same vein, as much as the little convenience store sells Starbucks coffee, they don't take gift cards or the Starbucks app for payment. The lodge itself shares a wall with the water park, so you can come and go straight from your room without going outside. The rooms seem to be an odd mix, but that may be because the lodge is, at base, a timeshare establishment. Some rooms have connecting doors, some have balconies, and some have kitchenettes. Some of the rooms on the top floor have both balconies and kitchenettes, (gas) fireplaces, and an upstairs loft area.
