We stayed at the Running Y Resort last month from April 22nd-23rd. We were woken up at 9 AM to men cutting the branches off the tree outside our window with a loud saw (I have included a photo & videos - the video's don't do justice to how loud it actually was, you could hear it even with the air conditioner running). It went on for an hour despite check out time not being until 11 AM. It was a very unpleasant end to what would have been an otherwise great stay. When we checked out the woman working at the front desk asked how our stay was. We complained to her about them sawing down a tree outside our hotel room window so early in the morning, to which she responded "Well maybe 9 is too early for YOU. Have a nice day." Not even an apology for the disturbance, instead placing the blame on us, the customers. What kind of customer service is that? It's blatantly disrespectful. She should have some training in customer service, because she completely lacked any people skills, courtesy or common decency. Considering the price of the hotel rooms this was not only an unacceptable way to be woken up in the morning but also horrible treatment. I will never stay there again. The only reason I am providing 2 stars instead of 1 is because The Ruddy Duck restaurant located inside the hotel was excellent and so was our waiter. So unless you are going there for dinner, stay as far away from this place as you can.
