Guests cherish the Club Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Resort in Kailua-Kona for its nostalgic 1930s plantation aesthetic, offering a quiet, residential retreat just off the bustling Ali'i Drive. The atmosphere is undeniably relaxed and homey, though travelers note that service follows strict timeshare protocols rather than flexible hotel standards. Beyond the spacious units, the property’s most unique feature is the grounds themselves; visitors are delighted to find ancient archaeological sites preserved right on-site, seamlessly blending deep Hawaiian history with the lush, tropical gardens.
Love this resort ❣️ Plantation style buildings amidst lush foliage and beautiful birds. Rock waterfall, multi level hot tub with pebble bottom. Newly renovated rooms, nicely decorated, unique lamps throughout. Best 'hotel' blow dryer ever. Really nice, attentive, accommodating staff. Cute activities during the week. Not on the ocean but near. This week - sun in am but rain in afternoon, evening ☔
