We stayed in the two bedroom apartment. PROS: - spacious unit - relatively well kept unit - kids LOVED it (especially water park) - came with dish washer, fridge, range, washer and dryer - water park had amazing slides and virtually no lineups - decent deck - staff friendly - quiet atmosphere (never heard neighbors) - bilingual staff - ample parking - 15-20 mins from Montmorency Falls, 30 mins from Old Quebec - good amount of storage - staff relatively quick at responding to maintenance requests CONS: - pools were falling apart (ex. Volcano was working for only half the stay and no one went in since it was gross water; the other pools were peeling etc) - slides only open 11AM-5PM — which meant we sometimes had to choose between disappointing the kids with no slides or compromising our sight seeing - why not 9AM-8PM etc?? - needed a better cleaning (ex. We found broken glass on the floor of our unit; dirty condom in parking lot etc) - cleaning staff was not very friendly (compared to front desk and water staff who were) - there is no fitness room on site and the one off site that we have access to is only open 8AM-9PM. Terrible hours considering we couldn’t get a work out in before the kids were up or after they went down. Why not have a 24 hour pass with a key card system like most hotels?! - had to ask to get broom for our unit - no room service cleaning rooms - dish detergent left was unusable - had to buy our own - ants everywhere in unit VERDICT: Would we come back? That depends. We would if we had our kids with us. Fantastic spot for kids who wouldn’t notice the small things like a pool falling apart or a condom in the parking lot, but would notice the slides and spaciousness. It was also super convenient with dish washer and possibility of washer / dryer. I think next time we’d do a chalet though with three kids in tow. Would we come back just the two of us? Absolutely not. It’s too worn down, not kept up well enough, and the fitness room hours were pitiful. CONCLUSION The story of Condos Vacances Mont Sainte-Anne is an unfortunate one. Not because we had a terrible time - we actually quite liked our stay. But because it’s a place brimming with potential but stumbling to deliver. It’s like watching the MTL Canadiens play a great 2 periods and lose it in the 3rd.
