VakayMood is a travel marketplace where travelers book unused resort weeks directly from owners and save up to 80%. Most travelers save 40–70% versus the resort's own rates.

A timeshare is a type of vacation ownership where individuals purchase the right to use a resort unit for a specific week or weeks each year. Timeshare resorts typically offer spacious accommodations, like multi-bedroom suites with kitchens, and resort-style amenities — pools, restaurants, fitness centers, kids clubs, and more.

With VakayMood, you don't have to buy a timeshare to enjoy the benefits. Many timeshare owners can't or choose not to use their days or week(s) every year, so they rent these on VakayMood at heavily discounted rates with no ownership obligations.

No — absolutely not! When you book through VakayMood, you're renting a confirmed, owner-owned resort reservation at a discounted rate with no strings attached and no obligation to attend any timeshare sales presentations.

Unlike most other private vacation rental sites, VakayMood offers high-quality resort stays with full amenities, guaranteed privacy, and no long check-out chore lists.

Yes! Every listing on VakayMood is a legitimate resort property, typically booked by owners who aren't using their week. Most are well-known brand-name resorts like Marriott, Westin, Sheraton, Hilton, Hyatt, Disney — with full amenities like pools, restaurants, fitness centers, and kids' clubs.

Many listings come directly from individual resort week owners and aren't released to the general public. VakayMood verifies each reservation so you can cross-check details and book with confidence — no guesswork, no surprises.

In most cases, yes! Since a VakayMood reservation originates from an owner's confirmed booking, it generally counts toward your loyalty account. Just provide your membership number when booking.

Absolutely. VakayMood listings clearly state the exact resort name and location so you know exactly where you're staying.

Generally, no. The price you see is the total price you pay, although local occupancy or tourism taxes may be collected directly by the resort.

VakayMood offers a wide variety of resort units, from studios to large multi-bedroom suites with kitchens, multiple bathrooms, and living spaces — perfect for couples, families, or groups.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, using advanced encryption and PCI-compliant technology. VakayMood never stores your full card information.

Every listing is verified before going live, and funds are only released to owners after you've checked in, ensuring a secure, hassle-free experience.

Cancellation policies vary by owner, typically offering at least a 24-hour refund window and sometimes up to 5 days before check-in. Specific terms appear clearly before booking, and we recommend purchasing travel insurance for extra protection.

No — VakayMood exclusively rents unused resort weeks at properties zoned for vacation, so it doesn't impact local housing supply.

Our reservations team works hard to get all reservations confirmed within 72 hours. However, occasional delays can happen on the seller's side, or even with the vacation club itself.

For example, if a seller needs assistance changing the reservation name over a weekend, some vacation clubs have limited weekend staffing, which can slow things down.
