Stayed: May 1st - May 4th (3 nights); Room 1103 A/B; 3 Adults; 2 Bedroom Unit. Location: Perfect location for 50+ and older adults who want to enjoy Las Vegas without the traffic and craziness of the Strip hotels. The Berkley is a short 10 minute drive from the McCarran Rental Car facility on Gilespie Street. The Silverton Hotel/Casino is right next door and a very easy 5 minute walk. Besides the casino restaurants, there are numerous dining & shopping options 5-10 minutes by car. Ambiance: The Berkley is an 18-story modern condo resort. Our 2 bedroom unit was contemporarily decorated in desert tones with tasteful wallpaper, furnishings and art. Each unit (A & B) had a full-kitchen, separate shower & tub, a living room area and bedroom with king size bed. Wear & tear of the unit was very minimal, but a refresh of furnishings is about 3-5 years away. This is a Vacation/Time Share resort, but during our stay here, there were no pushy Salespeople or any marketing advertisements trying to sell ownership, which was perfectly great for us. Service: At check-in & check-out, guest services staff were professional and handled each transaction in a timely manner. Interaction with other staff such as housekeeping and security were minimal at best. In future visits to Las Vegas, we would definitely stay at The Berkley again and recommended it to friends and relatives for its convenient location and laid back vibe.
