We booked a semi last minute two-night stay for our annual trip up to the north shore. The location was amazing, the beach was wonderful for our kids, the playground was nice. The rest was up for debate. We didn’t use some of the amenities like the bikes, bonfire kits or kayaks so can’t speak to that. The room was dated, the bed was soft and sagging in the middle, the sheets were too big for the mattress. The shower made noises in the pipes when being used as others have mentioned. Paint was chipping off the walls, the slide lock on the door was loose, and the TV volume would randomly change when we were watching TV. We also found garbage under the bed from previous guests, that was pretty gross. Having travelled with little kids, the pool room was terrifying - the tiles were slippery and waiting for an accident, the kiddie pool was dirty. The hallways and elevators smelled like my great-grandmas house, old and needing some needed updates. We also didn’t eat at the on-site restaurant so can’t speak to that either, but looking at the menu, it didn’t seem very family or child friendly and expensive. I felt the photos weren’t completely accurate of what the space looked like (rooms specifically, I don’t know what rooms those were but our definitely did not look like the ones shared here). The amenities and room quality definitely weren’t worth the cost, I could get a nicer/cleaner room at a Holiday Inn for less. But the view and location right on the bay was incredible.
