The hotel is very basic and rustic - don't expect any luxuries. It's well located and our room had a stunning view over the lake. Our room smelled terrible upon arrival - like someone had been chain smoking in there with the doors and windows closed for 30 years. The rooms are not serviced despite the mandatory €100 cleaning fee and no dishwashing soap or cloths were supplied - supposedly one is expected to bring your own cleaning materials. The elevator was out of service with no sign of any intention to get it repaired in the week we were there - cue an old lady struggling on the stairs with a crutch. There is a huge entertainment area in the basement where guests could do a spot of dancing till the wee hours of the morning - though that in itself didn't disturb us, the revellers returning to their rooms and conversing at full volume every morning was very disturbing. The water for the shower was often Luke warm at best - best time for hot water is late at night or very early morning. There are some lovely walks to do in the forest behind the hotel. The hotel is very remote - I would recommend bringing a car as public transport is virtually non-existent.
