To start, I will list all the things wrong with the resort: 1. Room AC worked intermittently. 2. Hot water didn't work at all in my first room, barely worked in the new room. 3. Ants in rooms. 4. Shower drains drained slow, it needed Drano badly. It was like taking a dirty bath. 5. No room service or housekeeping and the bathrooms smelled awful. I suspect it was the drains because it was gradual over time and didn't occur on the first day. 6. Bathrooms in common areas were filthy. 7. Buffets were average. The "American" foods like cheesecake were flavorless. 8. Lots of insects like bees and flies around food and drinks. I got 2 grape sodas with a dead bee in it... even after dumping the first one and trying again. 9. Price- it was expensive for such a cheap and run down place. 10. Service- I tried to get extra towels from the front desk when the beach towel stand was closed, they told me to go to my room. No customer service skills but the porter who got our bags was amazing... the only good guy there. 11. Pools look like they've never been cleaned. 12. I was there for 3 days, the little convenience store was only open for one of those days with no listed hours. Good 1. The porter who brought our bags to our room was good, as stated. 2. The drinks were good (alcohol and mixed drinks). I was disappointed this is supposed to be the best resort in La Ceiba, I was with my whole family, and I regret coming here.
