It's a nice scenic place. Quiet, peaceful, but far out. The hot spring water is lovely. Possibly due to the various works carrying on during our visit, my mum and I were attacked by African bees! Their nest was probably disturbed by the workers. The unbelievable bit was that while the bees were attacking us, the manager/s did not belive us saying that they had never had problems with bees previously. They stuck to this until they actually saw the bees attack us. There were 30 or 40 bees on the ground. If it weren't for the chef and waitress at the bistro who helped us , we would have been stung lots more times. To top it off, there was no treatment available in their first aid kit let alone the offer to call a doctor. It was probably when a third visitor started to get stung that they realised there was a problem and sprayed the property. This is probably a one off event but in the African bush this is common. Precautions need to be in place ahead of time for events like this.
