Let me preface this by saying we booked through booking.com and we were not aware that the room we booked (room 850) was actually a private room owned by an AirBnb host, and not directly through the hotel, although the room was within the same hotel. It was odd. That being said, the room was awful. It was dirty, and not well maintained. They claimed that there was a “fully stocked” kitchen, however, it wasn’t stocked with proper appliances. No pans for the oven, no oven mitts, etc., We intentionally booked this place because we wanted to cook meals ‘at home’ and not have to spend so much on eating out but not having proper appliances made it difficult. The dishes were also dirty when we arrived. Also, the AC in the living area where the Murphy bed was located did not work, and it was hot as hell. The description said there was additional linen for the Murphy bed, which there wasn’t, so we had to contact the host later that evening (after coming back from being at the beach all day), she gave us attitude for contacting her “so late” (it was 8pm), and insisted there was linen in the room for the Murphy bed — again, there was not. Overall, the hotel was fine, (although it could use a deep cleaning in the pool areas). It’s nice that they have a small arcade, lots of pools, hot tubs and 2 lazy rivers. Most of all, the best part is the location — being right next to the beach. I guess I could say you get what you pay for, but honestly, I’ve stayed in way nicer places for much less.
