I did not visit the hotel as I was in Keswick for a day with my walking club (the Tyneside Ramblers). It was a memorial walk for a former leader who has tragically passed away. He was a gentle gentleman, a lovely person, and a very good leader. A good man. Who was definitely looking out for us. The weather forecast was not the best. Plus, in Newcastle, the morning was damp and a bit foggy. Although the further west we went, the weather got brighter and brighter. It ended up being a wonderful, special, hot, sunny ☀️ day. The Herdwick sheep were brought in by the Vikings about 1000 years ago. Some of the views were just unreal. An amazing and special day.
