At Disney's Old Key West Resort in Lake Buena Vista, the frantic energy of the parks melts away into a slow island retreat. Guests praise the genuine hospitality where cast members encourage an unhurried stay. The sprawling grounds offer a quiet residential feel that families adore, especially given the massive villas which are widely known as the largest guest rooms on Disney property. For a true insider treat, take the leisurely water taxi to Disney Springs or grab the legendary buttermilk fried chicken at Olivia’s Cafe.
I have been coming to this resort since I was a child and my grandparents first became a part of DVC. This place feels like home. It's laid back and relaxed, the kids have a blast at the main pool, and the back pools are great too because they are less crowded at times. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The location for me is great because it is less crowded and feels like you are tucked back in the woods. The rooms are FANTASTIC for families! We love that we can cook in the room and not feel like we have to rush out to eat every meal, but there are good restaurants on location at well. This place really lives up to the Disney standards!
