We can't say enough wonderful things about our week with Tradewinds in French Polynesia. Our crew, Captain Mathis and First Mate Avril were fantastic. We were confident in the captain's capable hands and both offered excellent guest service. It can sometimes be a touchy thing to share a boat with other guests who are strangers, and we did have one other guest aboard our boat who was a bit- trying. He was a testy type who talked a lot about having his own boat and it was clear that he struggled to be a guest and not in charge, but our captain managed it deftly and delicately and ensured that we all had a great vacation. That is a tough tightrope to walk, but Mathis has demonstrated a natural aptitude and skill beyond his years. Avril made wonderful meals and worked so hard to keep all of us comfortable and well cared for. They were both accommodating, professional, and fun. It's the most idyllic possible surroundings. Just gorgeous, and we particularly enjoyed our excursion with Maui. We had such a good time that we've already booked a return next year. A million thanks to Mathis and Avril for a wonderful week of sailing. We can't wait to be back.
