Across the road from the beach, narrow balcony with in our case a side view of the beach. Good breakfast (reserve your time the night before) with excellent scrambled eggs & bacon (the only hot dishes), lots of pastries and fruit, quality selection of breads, toaster available, helpful staff. If asked the staff will provide a teapot which will be filled with boiling water not the inadequately hot water otherwise available. They don’t know to put the teabags in first but… Excellent indoor rooftop pool and outside pool, gym , sauna. Games room for children. Outdoor pool very good, attentive staff. Reception service ok, eventually they got there. One gym staff had an “attitude” (“habitatción?, ”no “por favor” or “gracias”, maybe that’s acceptable in Argentina?). Reception seemed to have complimentary bicycles to loan but didn’t put it on the list of services displayed in the room. If you’ve got it, flaunt it. Cost was high mid January, but that is high season. Booking . com priced us in US$: if we had been charged in AR$ it would have cost ?34% less using a foreign credit card, but currency in Argentina is complicated and changing daily. Pinamar is like a US Atlantic beach resort: other than the beach it just has a strip, not seedy. Police everywhere, probably a good thing….?
