For two weeks in June, I had the opportunity to stay at a hotel with a group of 35 youths from Poland. During this time, we got to know almost all the staff due to the activities in which the kids participated. I will try to describe each aspect of the hotel in more detail. For our stay, we rented a total of 11 rooms. From our experience with other trips, we asked everyone to make a list of things that were damaged. Unfortunately, the list was long, and everyone reported some issue—non-working refrigerator, air conditioning that heated instead of cooling, broken balcony doors, leaking shower, and I personally experienced an exploding toilet with all the sewage flooding the shower. Most of the defects were fixed after reporting them to the reception. However, this was not what we expected from a four-star hotel. Overall, I would rate the standard of the rooms as "below expectations." The four-person apartments were definitely better equipped than the others (they have a built-in kitchen, much more closet space, and plates, cups, and pots available). Additionally, it's worth mentioning that those on the upper floor have exceptionally beautiful views of the sea and the pool. Apart from the rooms, the complex also includes a swimming pool, a large parking area, a reception, and a dining hall. The entire place is enclosed in a beautifully organized green space. The stairs to the floors are decorated with plants, the well-maintained lawn invites you to take walks, and there's even an ancient theater within the grounds. It's truly beautiful here at any time of day. Given the proximity to the sea, I recommend going at least once for the sunrise and sunset. The meals served as part of the All-Inclusive service deserve a separate mention. I think I have never had the opportunity to get to know the local food traditons as well as here in Italy. Over the two weeks, I ate pasta at least twice a day in every possible variation, with sauces, meat, fish, and seafood. One day we were served shrimps, which everyone had to peel themselves. The absolute highlight was the octopus pieces and swordfish. For desserts, we received cake (the best I have ever eaten) or fruit. The choice was really tough—melons, watermelons, and local grapes showed me that those bought in Poland are a poor imitation of fruits. I am very grateful to the chefs and waiters; I will miss the hotel food for a long time. Referring to the staff—I'm sorry I don't know Italian and couldn't communicate with anyone other than through gestures. This is unfortunately a common problem in most places in Italy, as they do not know English. However, this did not prevent anyone from greeting each other with a smile every day, singing "Happy Birthday" together, having a great time by the pool, or exchanging gifts at the end of the stay. I hope we didn't cause any problems and left only good impressions. In terms of personality and atmosphere, I would give the staff a rating of 6/5. About location: the hotel offers a great place for relaxation and sunbathing. Other than that, everything around was described by our students as "western." Within a few kilometers, you can literally find only one grocery store. Apart from that, there's nothing. However, I recommend renting a car and visiting the towns in Apulia! Millions of olive trees, medieval churches, white fortresses, breathtaking beaches, and rich history of the region—all await within 1-2 hours' drive. I give a final rating of 5/5. Despite the initial problems, I have only positive impressions of the stay. I cannot just look at everything I experienced from a practical perspective, and my heart tells me that every hotel employee did everything to make us feel good and comfortable. I will never forget how we were 4 hours late for dinner! Yet, the owners waited for us personally with a warm meal at 10:30 PM. I hope we will have the opportunity to cooperate again someday. ❤️
