We checked in during the late evening, but unfortunately, the experience at the front desk was not very welcoming. The staff did not seem particularly friendly or accommodating. We had booked two rooms and politely requested if we could have them close to each other. Initially, the staff was unhelpful, repeatedly saying that the rooms were fully booked without making much effort to assist. Only after we encountered an issue with the access card not working did the staff check again, and surprisingly, we were then given side-by-side rooms, which could have been done from the beginning. The room itself was clean, though it looked a bit dated. The air conditioning unit took some time to cool the room, but eventually, it worked fine. The hot and cold shower functioned well. We appreciated the thoughtful room service, particularly the housekeeping staff who kindly left the air conditioning on after cleaning when they noticed we had a baby with us. That small gesture meant a lot. Buffet breakfast at the Bunga Mas restaurant was quite good, with a decent selection and friendly, attentive staff. We also tried lunch and dinner at the same restaurant, and the food was delicious. Checkout was smooth, and the staff at the counter during checkout were much friendlier and more helpful compared to the check-in experience. The complimentary airport/ferry/town transfer service was a great bonus and made our departure hassle-free. Overall, while our stay had a rocky start, it improved over time thanks to the excellent restaurant staff, thoughtful housekeeping, and smooth checkout process. A bit more attentiveness and warmth at the front desk would certainly enhance the guest experience.
