We were excited for our first trip Massanutten. We booked a condo and it was decent. Very bare bones, TVs a little dated but nice enough living space. Unfortunately we lost power mid day for 4-5 hours. Called to ask for an update or maybe even some transparency on the situation and was met with “ we don’t know what is going on , call maintenance “ I get power is out of their hand at times but it would have been great to be met with an arcade credit , restaurant credit , or partial refund. Instead they offered us blankets and a flashlight. The waterpark was great. Even for an adult it was fun on the wave ride. The slides were pretty exciting (even the indoor ones) food and beverages were 3.8/5 (good not great) and prices are to be expected. The arcade had some pretty fun games. They offered a tour and made it seem that it was a tour of the resort, that requires a $50 deposit but after the tour you receive a $250 gift card. Those are unsuspecting may not know that this is a timeshare sales pitch and they won’t tell you that until you’re in the sales pitch. Politely decline and enjoy your trip.
