Exceptionally beautiful property. The view alone is worth 5 stars. The photos online don’t do it justice, the view is amazing but the grounds of the hotel are also immaculately kept. Highly recommend for a luxurious Baños stay. Most of the staff is exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. Contrary to some other reviews, we thought the food was really good. The breakfast was super fresh and consistently delicious. Dinner had lots of options, some of which were our favorites we had in Ecuador. We did have a few observations for areas of improvement: there’s no shade in the pool area. The sun is incredibly strong in Ecuador, and we got very sunburned. There is no umbrellas or anywhere to enjoy the view without being in direct sun. We also had an unfortunate experience where one of the housekeeping staff stole $40 from our backpack. When we told the receptionist, they said they would investigate, but we never heard any follow up. We weren’t expecting any money back, but the situation was not handled properly. We paid $500 a night, so it wasn’t that $40 makes a difference, more that the situation could have been handled better. We speak Spanish, so this wasn’t a situation of poor translation.
