The room we got was definitely from at least a generation ago. My room had a kitchen in it. I saw other rooms that were more traditional hotel rooms. The space in the toilet in my room was a bit limited in space. I would think if I were over 6 feet I might have my knees almost touching the far wall. The all you can eat "Viking style" meals were fine. I have to admit that the crab wasn't really the best I've ever had but the worst. I think overall for what the price was it was a good enough value. It was not expensive at all and if you go to this hotel with the expectation of it being a cost saving way to stay a night right on the lake you may not be so disappointed. There are are many things to do in the area but I'm not sure how good public transport is.
