If you enjoy RV camping at the beach, Lakewood gets 5 stars. Personally, I prefer beach houses in less populated areas, but I came to Lakewood for a big family vacation with extended family. All that said, Lakewood is a very nice campground - safe, clean and family friendly. The bathrooms are well-maintained and there are activities for the whole family going on throughout the week. The indoor pool is nice for those want to stay out of the sun, or for rainy days. The outdoor pool has a resort-like feel with water slides and a few concessions. The beach along Lakewood's property is clean and well maintained. There are church services on Sunday mornings in the pavilion area which overlooks the ocean.
