It’s difficult to know where to begin with this review, as our stay at Impiana Resort was not just one single bad experience, but a relentless series of failures that ranged from daily frustrations to serious health and security risks. Our problems began the moment we checked in. We were given a room that was completely different from the "seaside" room we had specifically booked and paid for. The staff's rude and dismissive reaction when we pointed this out was our first introduction to their shockingly poor service standards. Then came the daily annoyances that make a relaxing stay impossible. The WiFi is practically non-existent. The bedsheets are bizarrely small, barely covering two people. Housekeeping is a lottery; they might show up at 5 PM, or they might not show up at all, often forgetting to leave fresh towels. You constantly have to chase staff for the most basic services. But these frustrations were minor compared to the serious health and safety issues. The room itself was a health hazard. The bathroom was full of disgusting black mold, and with no ventilation, the entire room was perpetually damp. The humidity was so intense that it ruined some of our clothes in the closet, causing colors to bleed. When it rained, the building itself failed, with water leaking directly into our room and puddling in the hallways. Most alarmingly, the hotel has a shocking lack of security. On several occasions, we returned to our room to find the door had been left wide open and unlocked by the housekeeping staff, leaving all our belongings completely vulnerable. Tying all these issues together is a culture of rude, aggressive, and indifferent staff. No matter the problem - from a small request for a towel to a serious complaint about an unlocked door - you are met with the same hostile attitude. This extends to their bizarre and unfriendly policies. We were told in no uncertain terms that we could not have a friend who was staying at another hotel visit us on the beach. They are actively hostile to non-guests, creating a tense atmosphere that is the complete opposite of a welcoming resort. This is not just a "bad" hotel; it is a fundamentally broken and unsafe one. The combination of dilapidated and unhealthy rooms, major security lapses, and a hostile staff makes this a place to avoid at all costs.
