Guests love the Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch in San Antonio's Westover Hills for its blend of upscale amenities and a quiet, residential feel. The vibe is distinctly Texan, with limestone buildings and 39 acres of trails creating a secluded atmosphere. Staff are often praised for their warm hospitality, which complements the home-like comfort of the large villas. The real secret here is the 800-foot lazy river; shaded by dense live oaks, it offers a genuinely relaxing float that mimics the region's natural rivers better than any standard hotel pool.
We just got back from a four-night stay and I can honestly say we had a great time. Check in was super easy! I was a little nervous about going to get the parking pass from the timeshare people, but it was no big deal. I said "no" to the invitation to learn about the timeshare and they didn't push any further. We stayed in one of the buildings right behind the lobby and I feel it was the perfect location. The walk to the pools, workout room and lazy river were short and really pretty. Our 2B2BA room was nice. We loved that there was a washer & dryer and a fully stocked kitchen with all cooking necessities. The beds were comfortable, and the air worked great. We wished the water pressure in the showers were stronger but overall we were fine. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, especially the staff outside at the pools. I would definitely come back to this resort if we are in the area again.
