I was lucky enough to be able to stay here a few days for work and I'm already figuring out how to go back with my wife. Keep in mind that this island is more laid back and natural than Oahu or Maui. There are no productions going on here, the whole island is pretty down to earth as far as life goes so don't expect hula dancers and tour busses everywhere. There are chickens walking the grounds and roosters that yell at everyone at 5am, so turn on your AC unit to provide some white noise so it doesn't wake you up if you're a light sleeper. You might find a spider or a bug in your bathroom... just step on it and move on. Don't be a Karen and complain and let that ruin your day, they aren't calling an exterminator for you. The staff here are great and kind and love telling stories about local life or places to go sight seeing if you just ask. I would definitely go back. Be sure to check out the on-site gift shop too! They had allot of pretty reasonably priced stuff in there. Pros: - Beds were comfy and rooms had outdoor porches - The on-site restaurant was one of the best places to eat I found while I was there. Live music, great food, only open for dinner though Things I wish were different: - No place to put a laptop. A small desk or cabinet would have been nice to put electronics, or a backpack on even. - No options for breakfast. Even a bowl of fruit at the front desk, along with some granola bars or something would have been nice.
