We just returned from a wonderful vacation in Mexico and stayed at this resort for several days. Overall, it was a great experience, especially for families with kids. One of the biggest highlights of the hotel is how family-friendly it is. There are plenty of activities for children, including a fun and well-managed kids club, multiple kid-friendly pools, and daily entertainment shows that the whole family can enjoy. Every night, there was something different going on—from cultural performances to live music and themed nights—which kept us engaged throughout our stay. The staff is incredibly hardworking and friendly. Housekeeping did a fantastic job, often cleaning our room twice a day, which made us feel well taken care of. The service overall was very professional and warm. When it comes to food, the majority of the offerings were excellent. There was a wide variety of options at different restaurants and buffets, and most of what we tried was delicious and well-prepared. However, breakfast is an area that needs improvement. The options are somewhat limited, and there’s often a long line, especially after 8:00am. The best time to go is between 7:00 and 7:30am, when it’s quieter and more pleasant. Lunch can also involve long wait times, particularly at the stations with freshly prepared items. For lunch, I recommend heading to Ventus Ha, where the wait times were shorter and the food quality was great. While the specialty restaurants were overall very good, we were a bit disappointed in the Mexican cuisine offerings. Being in Mexico, we expected more authentic and flavorful Mexican food, but it seemed like that’s where the kitchen fell a bit short. The biggest downside of our stay was the seaweed situation on the beach. Unfortunately, the smell from the seaweed can be very strong, especially in the early mornings and at night, which took away from the relaxing beach vibe we were hoping for. The beach itself was largely unusable during our stay because of the seaweed buildup, which was disappointing. That said, the pool areas made up for it somewhat, as they were clean, spacious, and enjoyable throughout the day. In summary: • Pros: Fantastic for kids, great staff, clean rooms, fun nightly shows, good food variety, and great pools. • Cons: Seaweed odor, unusable beach, limited breakfast options, long food lines, and underwhelming Mexican cuisine. Would we return? Possibly—especially if the beach conditions improve, because the overall hospitality and amenities are strong. Great place for a family-focused vacation.
