Went to the Royale for a pro boxing venue sponsored by Nolan Bros. It was a lot of fun. Atmosphere was friendly and even family oriented. Alcohol available but no one out of control. The Royal is a beautiful building. Everywhere are grand golden age architecture and decor. That alone is worth visiting. The venue had great ticket personnel, fantastic staff and of course the boxing was great. We got to see many New England clubs represented. We are from Maine’s Portland Boxing Club, and all our pro fighters won. Bob Russo runs a great program up there. Go if you can! We need more pro boxing in New England like in the 1900-1970s.
