My mother and I had a wonderful 4-night stay. The room was spacious and had enough space for two small cabin bags to be emptied, hung up/ put away/ the bags tucked away. The breakfast was wonderful, in a sunken, sun-soaked courtyard outside. There was a wide range of options (buffet) with an omelette station and decent coffee. The hotel itself is deceptively large and labyrinthine: We managed to find a way to get to our 3rd floor room without using the two sets of elevators, but it is fully accessible for those less able. The gym is decent, above average for a hotel gym with decent weights. The spa was also really enjoyable, although the sauna was not hot enough on one day and not working the second day. Slightly disappointing that we weren't notified of this when we went down to the spa, we were just left to find out. But massage treatments were 10/10 and no complaints on the steam room. The beach is a steep 20 min walk away, but with full pedestrian access. I enjoyed the walk but my mother took one of the many, very frequent buses to/ from the bay, which was €2.50 each way. Cards accepted. The area is quite quiet, full of winding streets and interesting pieces of history. There are a range of restaurants in the town, and we did not try the hotel restaurant for dinner. We also didn't spend any time by either of the pools so I can't comment on those. Overall, the hotel is delightful, clean, well-priced and family friendly. The staff were helpful and welcoming. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.
