Smugglers Notch is a great place to go for a vacation. Visiting here feels like you’re back in the 90’s, but in a good way. From all of my experiences, it is pet and kid friendly and overall a great place to take a family vacation. My family has been coming up here for almost 40 years and we have never had a problem. The skiing is phenomenal, with a very wide variety of terrain and difficultly. One of the mountains is right next to the village. The only con about this resort is the lift speed. The lifts are slow, taking almost 15 minutes to get to the top of each mountain, though, the lifts rarely ever stops. The hiking is also very nice, with a wide variety of difficulty. Overall, if you have a family and want to go skiing, this is totally the place to hit.
