I recently attended a Bluegreen timeshare presentation as part of a sampler offer. During the process, I was approved for a Hilton credit card. Shortly after, I attempted to take a photo of the offer sheet that detailed the timeshare terms, a completely reasonable thing to do before considering a major financial decision. Shockingly, the salesperson snatched the paper off the table before I could capture it, leaving me with no record of the offer. The tone and body language were aggressive and made me extremely uncomfortable. It felt like a deliberate attempt to hide or obscure the actual offer, which is unacceptable especially after a credit inquiry had already been made. I never signed a timeshare agreement, but the experience was manipulative and borderline deceptive. High pressure tactics, lack of transparency, and unprofessional behavior like this are why so many people don’t trust the timeshare industry. Consumers deserve to feel safe, informed, and respected especially when financial decisions are involved. I hope Bluegreen takes a serious look at this type of conduct and makes changes. Until then, I cannot recommend attending their presentations or trusting their offers.
