The morning that we were scheduled to leave, 30 minutes before check out time, I was packing the car when an employee, Roger, pointed out to me that one of my tires was completely flat. It was on the other side of the car and I hadn't noticed it yet. Roger and the maintenance employee, Bob, grabbed an air compressor and filled up my tire for me. When we saw that the tire was still leaking air, Roger found a large rock that had stabbed through the tread of my tire. Another employee, Shannon, offered up a tire plug kit that she had in her car. Roger told me that he had been a mechanic for many years and had just recently started working at the lodges. Roger removed the rock and plugged my tire using the kit that Shannon offered up. We not only checked out on time, but safely made the 14 hour drive home back to Texas. We had an amazing stay, however the kindness and generosity of these three individuals made it that much more special as they went out of their way and saved us a lot of time, money and headache.
