A Fantastic Family Stay at The Colonies at Williamsburg! We recently had a wonderful stay at The Colonies at Williamsburg just before Memorial Day, and we can't recommend it enough, especially for families with young children. From the moment we arrived, the staff was exceptionally pleasant, always friendly during check-in and check-out, and very helpful with any questions we had. Our apartment-style room was truly a highlight. It was spotlessly clean and wonderfully quiet, which was a huge relief with two kids under two! The layout was incredibly accommodating, featuring a nice, spacious kitchen and living area, perfect for spreading out. We also loved having a private balcony, a cozy fireplace, and beautiful bathrooms that included both a relaxing tub and a convenient walk-in shower. The overall feeling was very much like a home away from home. The resort's amenities were fantastic. Both the indoor and outdoor pools were great, providing plenty of fun for everyone. Our toddlers especially enjoyed the small, toddler-friendly park with a slide – a perfect spot for them to burn off some energy safely. The grounds were also lovely for walking, offering a pleasant environment for a stroll with the little ones. The location is also ideal, being very close to Colonial Williamsburg, making it easy to explore the historical area. Not far from Newport News and only a little over an hour drive from Virginia Beach. Overall, our experience at The Colonies at Williamsburg was outstanding. The clean, quiet, and well-equipped rooms, coupled with the accommodating staff and great amenities, made for a truly enjoyable and stress-free family vacation. We highly recommend staying here, particularly if you're traveling with kids!
