Very poor management. We have previously stayed there and liked it. Reserved a 2 bedroom suite as a gift for our housekeeper. When she arrived with her family, she was told "nothing was available" and was given 1 small room instead with a promise to move to a 2 bedroom the next morning. They were not moved until the next evening. The reservation was months ago - how is it possible not to have the suite available? I never want to jump to racism or bigotry, but our housekeeper is Mexican and she does not speak English well, so I wonder if that contributed to a lack of effort to make things right. They had to squeeze the whole family into 1 tiny room (the smaller of the 1 bedrooms) without any obvious apology or compensation. She was too nice to complain and did not let us know until after their stay. I don't like to write bad reviews without giving the business a chance to explain, so I reached out to the resort and was given the Guest Services Manager's name name Heidi Richter. I left a message on her voicemail and sent an email with no response for days, thus this bad review. Unbelievable customer service. UPDATE: The manager Evan Harrelson reached out to me and made things right. Turns out I was given the wrong name initially which is why I did not hear back. He reached out to apologize for what happened. He also called our guest directly and apologized offering her another stay to make up for the incident. While he acknowledged that this should not have happened, he took the time to explain the circumstances and what he has done to try and prevent anything like this in the future. Bumping it back up from 1 star to 4.
